在氣候環(huán)境變化加速、地區(qū)沖突和文化遺產面臨威脅的時代，跨大陸交流和絲路文明聯(lián)盟（ATES）為跨學科、跨區(qū)域研究提供了一個及時而雄心勃勃的方案。ATES科學計劃（2025-2030 年）將促進絲綢之路氣候環(huán)境變化與文明演變的了解，并提供了以科學知識為基礎的氣候變化應對策略，以提高絲綢之路沿線國家和社會的韌性。ATES科學計劃提供了一個合作研究框架，用于探索環(huán)境動態(tài)、社會創(chuàng)新和跨大陸交流是如何在幾千年間影響人類文明發(fā)展的。ATES的核心任務是探索環(huán)境變化與絲綢之路文明發(fā)展之間的相互作用。它利用考古、遺傳基因、氣候、歷史和語言等研究手段，促進自然科學、社會科學和人文科學的跨學科研究，支持以科學知識為基礎的戰(zhàn)略，促進絲綢之路地區(qū)的可持續(xù)發(fā)展和氣候變化適應能力。
